Random Thoughts from my cube with 14 weeks to go

It’s an exciting time. Every week I cross off another week on my countdown, but it still seems quite far away.

Work has been interesting. There are a few people that are aware of my leaving, but most are not. I get nervous that those who are aware will accidentally let it slip out that I’m leaving. The last thing I want to happen is to be let go early and lose out on 14 weeks of salary!

It’s difficult to focus and be productive at times, but I think I am still doing a good job, being professional and getting my work done. It’s very easy to slack off, given the fact that I essentially have short-timer’s syndrome already. However, I try very hard to keep up the appearance that all is normal. I do not want to burn bridges, it’s very possible that I work with some of my co-workers in the future.

Monday’s, interestingly enough, are now easier than they use to be. With the light at the end of the tunnel, everyday gets brighter as October 19th gets closer.
